The Francis Crick Institute

The Francis Crick Institute (CRICK Ltd), London, UK, is a distinctive biomedical discovery institute which conducts ground-breaking research to understand why disease develops and find new ways to prevent and treat illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, stroke, infections and neurodegenerative diseases. The Institute was founded in 2015 as a consortium of six of the UK's most successful scientific and academic organisations: the Medical Research Council (MRC), Cancer Research UK (CRUK), the Wellcome TrustUniversity College London (UCL), Imperial College London and King's College London.
